It was a dark, stormy and very wet weekend here in the Bay Area and it was wonderful. We had a little over 6 inches of rain and some significant snow in the Sierras. It was perfect weather for sewing and reading! I enjoy the rain when we get it because I know it is not going to last long. We don't get day after day of damp grayness here. This morning as the sun came up, there were gold edged puffy clouds and the sun was doing that thing where the rays are visible all around the clouds. It made our drive to school beautiful.
We found this abalone shell at a local beach. It is about 8 inches across. The rain washed it super clean and the colors were gleaming.
